Police body camera footage released last week shows a Destin man being tasered 15 times before he stopped breathing and died last year in the back seat of a car on Interstate 85 in Georgia. Chase Sherman, 32, was travelling home from the Atlanta airport with his parents, Kevin and Mary Ann Sherman, and his fiancee, Patti Galloway. OPINION: Sandy Bland was minding her own business when she was pulled over by a cop. An exchange of words resulted in the cop making an arrest which resulted in the woman’s death.

It is a undeniable fact that if this cop hadn’t stopped and arrested this woman, she would be alive today. This is another example of why laws need to be changed to make cops legally and financially accountable so the can be SUED for wrong-doing.

Freddie Gray Dies After Arrest by Baltimore, MD Police

Freddie Gray, a Baltimore, MD Afro-americam man injured during an arrest by Baltimore police, died at Shock Trauma, prompting protests by city residents and out-of-town activists and promises from city officials for a thorough investigation.

Gray, 25, died a week after he suffered a broken vertabra after being arrested near Gilmor Homes in Sandtown-Winchester.

Police have not given a cause for Gray’s injuries or specified why he was arrested, citing an investigation into the incident. Officials are expected to look into any criminal conduct by Gray and whether criminal charges against officers are warranted.

“A cell phone video posted to YouTube this week shows a St. Paul police officer roughing up a black man who was apparently doing nothing more than sitting in the skyway, waiting to pick up his kids.

At 9:43 a.m. on January 31, police were summoned to the skyway in downtown St. Paul’s First National Bank Building on a report of a man loitering. The video footage shows an officer asking the then-27-year-old man to provide his name.
